Format:

12 Hours Live via Zoom: three 4-hour mornings
Day 1, Day 3 and Day 5: Laws & Regulations, Admissions & Retention, then Medication Management — each 8:00am-12:00pm
- The live courses you will need to attend are as follows-
  
  4 hours Laws & Regulations: (Day 1- 8am-12pm)
  
  4 hours Admissions & Retention: (Day 3- 8am-12pm)
  
  4 hours Medication Management: (Day 5- 8am-12pm)

Course Overview:
This 12-hour bridge course is designed for Licensed Nursing Home Administrators (NHAs) who wish to transition into becoming Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrators in California. The course fulfills Title 22 requirements and focuses on the essential areas that differentiate RCFE operations from skilled nursing facilities.

Learning Objectives:
✔ Gain a clear understanding of California RCFE laws and regulations and how they differ from NHA requirements
✔ Learn the principles of safe and compliant medication management in residential care settings
✔ Master admissions, assessment, and retention practices to ensure compliance and resident well-being

Important Note:
Licensed NHAs are exempt from taking the RCFE Initial Administrator Exam per California Department of Social Services (CDSS) guidelines. Completion of this 12-hour bridge course meets the required training to obtain your RCFE Administrator Certificate without the need for the state exam.

Attend the Live Sessions: Join our instructor-led Zoom classes for Medication Management and Admissions & Retention.
Receive Your Certificate: Upon completion, you’ll receive a downloadable NCPI certificate recognized by CDSS.

Who Should Enroll:
Licensed Nursing Home Administrators (NHAs) seeking to obtain their RCFE Administrator Certificate and take advantage of the exam exemption while completing all required RCFE-specific coursework.

I originally chose this 40-hour RCFE administrator CEU renewal option out of all the available choices because of its great reviews, convenience, and excellent price point. The self-paced courses were incredibly easy to navigate, making the independent study portion completely stress-free. As for the live portion, let’s be honest—nobody is looking forward to spending 20 hours on Zoom, but Carlos truly made the best out of a "must-do" mandatory experience. Carlos was approachable, knowledgeable, and just enough "geeky" with a great sense of humor to make this class the best it could possibly be. He was completely open to all of our inquiries, showing a true interest in our points of view and our frequent questions. Even with the class asking so many questions, Carlos’s time management was absolutely on point. He never missed a beat and stayed perfectly on schedule. He proved to be extremely knowledgeable on all areas of the subject matter, as well as the real-world navigation of RCFE regulations. I highly recommend this course to anyone needing their renewal! I am actually looking forward to my renewal in two years 🤣
