Course Overview:
This 12-hour bridge course is designed for Licensed Nursing Home Administrators (NHAs) who wish to transition into becoming Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrators in California. The course fulfills Title 22 requirements and focuses on the essential areas that differentiate RCFE operations from skilled nursing facilities.
Learning Objectives:
✔ Gain a clear understanding of California RCFE laws and regulations and how they differ from NHA requirements
✔ Learn the principles of safe and compliant medication management in residential care settings
✔ Master admissions, assessment, and retention practices to ensure compliance and resident well-being
Important Note:
Licensed NHAs are exempt from taking the RCFE Initial Administrator Exam per California Department of Social Services (CDSS) guidelines. Completion of this 12-hour bridge course meets the required training to obtain your RCFE Administrator Certificate without the need for the state exam.
